The first Library at Clinton College was started in 1894 with a small collection donated by Mr. H. A. Kelsey of Washington, D. C. It was housed on the first floor of the Crockett-Robinson Building, which also functioned as a dining room, kitchen, and auditorium. It was later moved to the current student center and remained there until the Fisher Memorial Library was completed in the 1980s. This building is now the Student Support Services building. The Fisher building is named in honor of Bishop Richard I. Fisher who served as the chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1987 until 1991. The present library facility was completed and dedicated in August 2005. This attractive facility was designed by Harvey Gantt & Associates. Special facilities include the Harry B. Dalton Gallery, a multipurpose room, a conference room, a computer classroom, and archive.
